Families in Crisis

The Families in Crisis Fund helps the Portland Public Schools assist our most vulnerable students and families. We know that children can't focus on learning when they are worried about their basic needs.

This fund allows school social workers and parent community specialists to help families directly with basic needs other than food. The Families in Crisis Fund can be used for one time payments of rent, utilities, medical costs, transportation, or other critical supplies. Payments are made directly to creditors.
